Hello from chilly so. Fla.

Heard about this site on Team Chevelle. Dave, I really liked what I read in your in depth intro, sounds like my kind of people. I am a 61 year old twice married Vietnam vet, who is now semi-retired from being an HVAC contractor due to health reasons. I had a 1967 ss 396 bolero red convert in 1967, but sold it when I found out I was going to the jungle in 1968. Found this 138 code 67 6 years ago, and, although it's a hardtop, I painted it bolero red so, from behind the wheel looking down the hood, I'm back in 67!!! Even got XM radio so I can listen to the 60's music. Can't ask for a helluva lot more!!!!! P.S. Being a throwback to the 60's, I am not very computer literate, but I am learning, so everyone just bear with me please. Thanks, Mike.

Thanks Gary and Ray. Although, Gary, your threads from TC really crack me up!! You have a good sense of humor, regardless of what some others may think.

Grumpy, I was going to take the chevelle out for a ride yesterday, but it wouldn't get above 50 degrees and the wind chill made it even worse. I figured with the windows closed and the heat fan on high, i'd play hell hearing the flowmasters!!!!!:)

grumpy 01-11-2010 03:09 PM

Wind chill at 50 ? :)

MIKEYB 01-11-2010 04:52 PM

No the temp was 50 but when the wind chill was added in it was more like 40 to 42 degrees. Hell, this morning we woke to "feel like" temps 0f 26 to 32. I thought I left that weather in South Jersey 35 years ago when I came hear!! This week is a gradual warm up to mid 70's by the end of the week. Now THAT'S cruisin weather:):)

What's happening Mike, I think it felt more like ZERO outside. I've never felt anything like that before down here, it was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!
