Hello all have a 1968 Chevelle

Waving
Wanted to say Hello to everybody I own a 68 Malibu that is a small tire Pro street was my buds car when we were 18 but first was his Aunts car then his moms car I built a few different engines for it in the 33 years he owned it I have it 2 years now re did complete drive line with the best money can buy for drag suspension and a 565 pump gas engine and now changing my direction so thinking I want to sell all the sheet metal/engine headers and what not off this car and make it a fiberglass 8.50 race car is there a market here for these parts?

Welcome Mike. Is there a market for your sheet metal parts ? I am sure that there is, somewhere someone probably could use your used parts.

Thank you
Its was my childhood friends car that he took over when we were 18 before that was his mothers car then his aunt bought it new.I built a few engines for it as his need for speed in the late 90s in full body trim and a small tire 9.70 ETs then the old story up on jackstands from 2000 till I bought it from him in late 2010.
Now I cant sell it lol so going to make it a 8.50 race car but the way I build it will still look somewhat stock to the eye

Nice pics. I like where you talked about shortening your front springs. Made me think of mine. Hubby said it needed to sit a little lower, I said NO, guess what I was right. Have to replace front springs as soon as I get it out of storage.

Yes
when you want that certain look it takes at least twice pulling springs and trimming sometimes more cause once you get greedy and cut to much back to the store for another new set !
