I am hoping for Wednesday...
I have been dying to get my car out of storage ! But every time I make plans the weather goes to crap, or something comes up.
Well, come Hell or High water, I am going to get my car on Wednesday. I have made arrangements with Keith, the manager of the storage place and with my brother Eric, second driver. I am still going to keep my fingers crossed that the weather cooperates and doesn't do the torrential downpours that have been coming lately. |
I know what you about the weather I just took car out of the car bag to do some work in the garage. Looks like going to get better want take it out on road soon, been a long winter. Chuck

Good luck to you both .
|
I agree good luck. I know I have been lucky this year to be able to drive mine already.
|
Today was a beautiful day. I saw so many classics on the road today. I missed one of my favorite shows at a local church. It is called "The Blessing of the Rides". Hey we need all the luck we can get out there on the road. :)
|
One of the churches in town has a show like that. I know it's coming up and I'd love to attend. Time will tell if I take the Chevelle or the truck.
Good luck getting yours out of "jail" this week. :D |
If it will stop raining long enough I would like to get Joan's vert out for a cruise.
|
Weather is looking good for Wednesday. Possible high of 77 and sunshine. Have everything set, keeping fingers crossed.
|
It looks like you'll have a good day on Wednesday to bring it home, but make sure you have a spot in the garage cleared out. It's gonna turn ugly again on Thursday up there. Good luck!

My baby is HOME !!!
It took a boost to the battery, but she started right up and she ran great. It just took me a few minutes to remember how good the brakes are. I almost put myself thru the front window. lol... I also made my daughters day. She had a Choir competition at a different school and when the bus brought them back from the competition, guess whose car was sitting there ? I guess all the boys were asking whose car it was, and one of Lauren's friends spoke up and said Lauren's mom. She said that it was really cool. And of course we took a few kids home, all girls, and the boys were bummed. Especially when I took off out of the parking lot. What a good day. |
Congrat, now the fun begins
|
That's awesome! Let the cruising season begin!
|
Congrats on bringing it home . I drove my El Camino yesterday and had a blast .
|
When we pulled it into the garage I noticed how much the springs have settled. I told David that I DID NOT want them cut, but he went behind my back and had it done. So now I have, what I think is a rubbing problem. Easy fix, but it still ticks me off.
David....I want my car to sit a little higher, not lower. But still happy she is home. |
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need a 1" spacer under mine. I went a little crazy cutting my springs. I cut a little more than a full coil out of mine. (in the front) In my defense, the A arms were pinned against the bump stops and jumping on the front end only budged it a little, but it snapped back against the bump stops quickly.
.....oops. |
Don't you hate those "oops".
|
I think we got your rain down here. Pretty much every day the past four days.
