How many Chevelles?

I was just wondering how many Chevelles everyone's owned over the years. Since I was old enough to know what one was, I've always liked them. Unfortunately, in between divorce number one and two, (might have had something to do with Chevelles, you never know) :D I lost all of my pictures of my early hotrods. Literally, two pictures remain of the dozens I had.

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to see what everyone had for Chevelles over the years. ...or if I was the only sick one in the bunch that was addicted to these cars like crack.

I've had:

(4) 1964 Chevelles
(2) 1965 Chevelles
(1) 1968 Chevelle
(4) 1969 Chevelles
(2) 1970 Chevelles
(1) 1971 Chevelle
(1) 1972 Chevelle

Keep in mind I was a teenager in the late '80's and these cars could be had for $500 or less in driving condition. ....ah, the good 'ole days! :D

More than I can recall...
I think there's been 5-6 in the past year. :( Looking at another one this week.

Well Bill, at least I feel better about my addiction now. :D

Only the 1, bought it in 2004. Almost bought a used one when I was just out of high school but you know how things go. Waited a long time but I have one now. Not a passion but I do enjoy it plus all the friends I've met because I own it.

Compared to most of you guys, I'm on the conservative side.

Bought my first one in 1987 1970 SS L-34 396 4 spd.
Sold it in 1996 to pay for a drive and retaining wall at our new house.

Bought the second one in 1998 1970 SS L-34 396 4 spd. Convertible.
Sold it in 2001 to help pay for part of my new truck.

I bought my third Chevelle with the rest of the money from Chevelle #2.
1970 Chevelle SS LS-6 454 auto basket case. Finished in 2003, sold in Dec. 2004.

Bought my fourth 1970 SS L-34 396 auto on my birthday in 2005. Sold it in March 2013. End of story..........;)

In 1972 bought a 1964 Chevelle with a 283 4 speed with powerpack option (tach, dual ext) and it was not a SS. Sold it 73 to buy a 64 GTO from Ky.

In 1980 bought a 1978 El Camino for a second car to drive in the winter instead of Corvette...traded it for a full size truck with 35's for 4 wheel fun

In 1984 bought a 1973 SS El Camino from Alabama after I sold my Corvette to buy a house.

In 2000 bought my 1969 Chevelle SS that I still have today and no plans on getting rid of it as my son wants it.

I was more of a Camaro / Corvette guy than a Chevelle guy but I love them all.

My dream car is a 1970 Pontiac Trans Am white with blue stripe.

Joan doesnt always get what she wants ,just most of the time .

earthquake68 05-29-2013 11:28 AM

I almost forgot. I had a '69 El Camino SS in there somewhere too. The body was rotted really bad. I sold the 12 bolt rear to a guy, and the 350 and TH400 went into my drag car. (after a bit of tweaking)

69chevelless 07-02-2013 11:15 AM

The one an only 69 ss in my garage now.
