Figured some would get a kick out of my latest build
It's not a Chevy, but it IS powered by a Chevy. ....actually, it's not an anything. I've long said if you brought me a set of tires and an idea, I could build you a car. My dad called me on it. :D
This is a 1923 C cab delivery I'm building from scratch. The engine, trans, rear and front axle are the parts I bought. (actually accumulated over time) Everything else was fabbed in house. Chassis, body and suspension. I hope to have it done by the end of November. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps878bae90.jpg http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...psa00b277e.jpg http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps7e9edca4.jpg http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps8636f543.jpg |

http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps2129f335.jpg Spending all my time on this has made the Chevelle take a back seat lately. I hope to have the Chevelle ready for cruising in the spring or sooner. |
That is sooooo coooool ,wish I had your talent.
Thanks, John! I decided tonight I'll probably end up building another one. It's easier when you don't have to cut a bunch of rusty metal apart, first. :D
Great fab work, I like how you even built the radiator shell.
Cool creation. Your fabricator looks kinda young though? LOL
Nice work! You are a talented man.
Alan, that is really neat. Like the guys before me said, we wish we had your talent. I can't wait to see what it is going to look like done.
Outstanding work. Man you're always into something. Keep right on goin.
Keep posting the progress up, that thing is looking super cool!

Thanks everyone for the compliments. The more I work on this, the less I want to build manufactured cars. There's so much freedom in doing one-offs. I'll keep the pictures coming. I got the floors done this weekend. |
Ditto what everyone else said, nice and I wish I had your skills.
Great looking project. Keep the pictures coming.

A friend came up and helped me get the roof skin done on the C-cab. ...little by little.

I got a bunch done on the C-cab. I only have a picture of the cowl, though.
The body is getting close to being done. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps1fd1c5e7.jpg ....and there's a new toy to get back in shape in the shop. (in the back ground). :D |
Cant wait to see the other one .
Looks like a fun project.
It's a '75 Ford F250. It's an old school monster truck. I have to get it running again and tidy up some, ....less than stellar engineering.

That would be fun in Atlanta traffic .

No, the trailer did fine. This was hooking the trailer into the shop.
More progress on the C-cab. The driver's side is skinned in, but I still have to cut the doors in. A little closer every day.

It needs some wings right behind that big C-shape
Wings? What do you mean?
Here's what it looks like today. I got the passenger side buttoned up and the battery box done.

I was just funnin. It looks great.
You have some serious skills! That thing looks awesome. Will def. be keeping tabs on this build.
Just a couple more progress shots of where I am on the C-cab.....
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps3ce3d864.jpg http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps8a1e80f3.jpg The back door folds down into a ramp so my dad can get his little electric scooter in and out easily. An electric winch will raise and lower the door. |
