69 Beaumont found on Craigslist
Check out this ad that I found on the Detroit Craigslist. Looks like the guy thinks he has a diamond in the rough.
69 Beaumont - $15000 1969 Beaumont odometer: 44000 Yes it's true this is a 69 Beaumont may be referred to as a Pontiac Beaumont or for those who really don't know much about the history of this automobile they may even call it a Chevy Chevelle. I'm pretty sure I own the only one in Michigan and I'm guessing maybe 1 of say 5 in the US (if that). The car is in solid condition body wise and running wise. Far from autorama ready but a great car to start with. It's a great conversation piece if nothing else so do a little research, then contact me. I'm open to respectful offers and will answer any questions you may have. You can email me or call or text at 734-seveneighteight-26twonine I'll also be editing the post at some point with pics but in the mean time if interested let me know and I'll email some. And please be serious about a purchase not just curious, I know this car is rare but so is my free time thank you... |
We have a Beaumont in our club. Not much of an add without pictures. Sounds over priced for the condition, I'm guessing. Here's the link

I've seen a few at Frankenmuth Autofest. I like the subtle changes to the grille and rear. Makes it look a step above the Chevelle.

Yeah, there's a few Beaumonts around. I know of one '68 SD in SC.
And if you ever attend the CanAm Chevelle show held every July in Niagara Falls you'll see numerous model years. Cool thing about them...you can still get the pedigree for the specific car from GM Canada. |
Always loved that look. Never seen one in person. I wonder if anyone has cloned one

Beaumont specific items are hard to find and pricey. Dash is different too. |
i thought so but they have such a nice look

I would love to have a Beaumont but the 67 is my favorite .

This came to Chevellabration a few years ago and was in the ACES magazine. Lee Anderson the founder of the club built it.

There's a few around, here's the first car I walked up to at the St.Ignace car show this last summer. I tried to trade the woman sitting with it striaght up for my white 72 Chevelle, she wouldn't do it...go figure;)

I like that white 68 SD convertible. It is one of only 65 built and only 9 or 10 known. I don't know about the seller's claim of his being 1 of 5 or so in the states. With 16,731 Beaumonts being built in 1969 I would say there are more than 5 in the states.
I have several pictures of the El Camino with the Beaumont front clip that I took when Lee had it at Chevellabration. Didn't Lee pass away a year or so after that show? As Bill mentioned, if you want to see Beaumonts make a trip to the CanAm show in Grand Island NY. I saw 13 the year I was there. James |

Also about the same time as the demise of the NW ACES regional. I attended the ACES show held in Des Moine (Seattle) a few years ago. Many Elkys present in that region. |
Cool car. Never heard of or seen one before. Any pics of the interior of the car ?
|
The interior of the Beaumonts for the most part is the same as chevelles except for a few emblems and the Pontiac dash. Below is the Photobucket link to pictures of my 68 Beaumont.

I thought that 2 years ago there were 3 or 4 Beaumonts at the Ohio show. I remember talking to at least 2 owners about their cars. The first time I ever saw a Beaumont was at the Frankenmuth, Michigan show about 4 years ago.

The first time I ever saw a Beaumont it was at the Peachstate Chevelle Show and it was and is owned by James from the above posts and he answered my many questions about it .His is also a beauty and the first one I fell in love with .I really like the Beaumonts and Acadians for their unique designs and BadASS good looks .
