What kind of car would you trade you Chevelle for?
Title says it all.
I would go with a Chevelle Convertible or Hemi car. |
Nothing else out there that I really want that I dont already have .

A 70 TRANS-AM with a 455, in fact I would throw in my Camaro (I would fix the clock) for a really really nice one.

Never keep one very long...only sheetmetal.

I was torn between building a 70 RS/SS camaro or this chevelle. I wanted the chevelle more. So I got what i want.
Only thing that may sway me is a 63 Impala SS. I have had 2 at the same time and I like them. But I to picky it never would happen. Have to be right color black interior, Air, 4-speed posi. That is why I prefer to build clones over the real mcCoy's. I want what I want and I would end up changing everything anyway. I had a 68 SS white, red interior, black top. No options like Air, power brakes, had steering tho. Looked nice, just ain't my style. |
Sold my 69 Chevelle last year to get a 71 Monte Carlo. That is really what I was looking for 15 years ago when I bought the Chevelle. First car was a 72 Monte and regretted getting rid of it...no money to fix it up back then.
Sold the Chevelle and ended up with a much nicer Monte and some cash in my pocket. The Chevelle needed a lot and the Monte already has the big stuff done. |
I can't say that I would trade it for any other car. Maybe grumpy would say an older Chevelle. But it is mine and isn't going anywhere.

Hey Chevymaher, I bought a 63 Imp SS Z11 in 68 for $6,000.00. (they were $4,000.00 new in 63) Didn't know it at the time, but there were only 57 of them made. They were Chevy's answer to Fords showroom race cars. It had a 409 built up to a 427 with 450 hp right out the door. Had some great times with that car, but like a dumb young guy, I beat the crap outa that car. There are only 7 recorded in existence now and worth a fortune.

My Chevelle was my very first car. I've owned it now for almost 27 years and I will never sell it. I'm certain it will be handed down and stay in the family.
|
Perhaps a 66 nova or a vega.
Wonder what they would turn into. |
I'm with beckman 70 fire chicken or 69 mustang fastback

Just about any interesting chevrolet that is not a 66 Chevelle.
Finally bored with 66 Chevelles. It only took 30 years for that to happen. |
|
I thought you sold that already and got another Rustang .
|
Nice car. I also remember a mustang too.
|
|

It is a nice Vette
|
Both of those vettes are sweet looking!
The only thing I would ever trade my car for would be a Lime Green 70 Road Runner with 383 and 4 spd on the floor. My dad bought one brand new when he was growing up and I would love to surprise him with one. I've been keeping an eye out for them but they go for a small fortune even in really bad shape. Then I'd probably get another chevelle. LOL |
