Ordering online from Lowes
Worst online order experience I've ever had.
Ordered a shower faucet trim kit on 2/19. Received an email that order was shipped on 2/23. No email updates as of 2/26 so I checked online account and it showed as delivered. No delivery info such as delivery date, shipper, tracking #. It wasn't delivered so I called them. After checking into it they tell me, no it wasn't delivered, in fact it wasn't even shipped and was on back order and not expected to be available until mid April. I requested they cancel the order and was informed that had to be done by some other group and would be several days before they could cancel it. 3/1 I get an email saying sorry, we can't cancel the order as it's already been shipped. 3/8 I call again to find out the status because my online account still shows delivered after all this time. Again, sorry, the item was shipped on 3/7 and should arrive on 3/11. What? I was told it was shipped on 3/1 now I'm told it was shipped on 3/7. My account still shows as delivered what gives. Now get this, he tells me they change the status to delivered after a few days. Doesn't matter if it was delivered or even shipped, just change the status to delivered. Now of course they charged my credit card back on 2/19. I received my CC bill, due next week. I already ordered one on Amazon, received it and installed it and I'm still waiting on Lowes. Now I have to take it, if it ever shows up, back to the store for a refund and I need to do that before I have to pay the bill. I don't want a $100 credit sitting on card because I don't think I'll be buying much at Lowes in the future. Of course they |
The first time they tried to jerk you around, I would have filled a dispute with my credit card company.

I was going to ordered a part for my Tank less hot water heater from them, they needed to look it up. Called 3 times and never heard a word back, even after they promised they would call me back. luckily the guy gave me the part number so I ordered it on line delivered by Amazon on Sunday, believe it or not. Had it installed in 1 days. Still never heard back from Lowes. It's been a month.

Expect a call any day Ray. :p I finally got the trim kit today. Now I have to take it back for a refund. They made the mistake of sending me an email to take a survey about their online sales a few days ago. They didn't get very high marks on that survey.
I did buy a Kohler shower door from Lowes but they ordered that for me in the store. That experience was okay. |
I like Lowe's but have never done an online order .

So I went to Lowes today to return this faucet trim kit. No receipt, never got one via email. Can't print one from online account and none in the package. Their refund policy says all you need is the credit card used to make the purchase or a phone number if one was supplied. No problem, ordered online with a Lowes credit card and they have my phone number from my online account.
30 minutes standing at the service desk while they tried to find the order. Then they tried to credit me $15 less then I paid. Finally they went online like a customer to find the price and managed to credit the correct amount. So there you go. Every aspect of their online order system and refund policy is a total failure. |
