Need Your Prayers
 

Typing thru tears right now ,my wife and best friend just passed away today ,I dont know what to do without her. She was my everything .

John I am so sorry... Joan was an amazing woman and I also am typing through tears. I do want to share what LaRae just posted on Facebook.

Friends of our precious Joan,
We just received word that our dear friend Joan Padgett passed away this evening. Chuck spoke with John a few minutes ago and he asked him to help spread the word among all that loved her. As we all know, Joan struggled with health issues but never let them affect her sunny disposition, her amazingly optimistic outlook, or her loving care and concern for all who came in contact with her. The Padgetts were known far and wide in the Chevelle community, and since we don't have contacts for all who know them, John also asked that everyone reading this also help spread the sad and tragic news to others.
Obviously, since this happened so recently, there are no arrangements yet. However, as soon as that information becomes available we will pass it along, too. Please remember to pray for comfort, strength and healing for John and the Padgett family as well as all of us who loved Joan, as we all do our best to come through this terrible ordeal.
Godspeed Joan....we will miss you.... Love, Chuck and LaRae

John the out pouring of Love and Support for you in the Chevelle Community on Facebook and Social Media is just huge. You and Joan have touched so many lives and everyone is sending their love and prayers to you during this difficult time. You have so many friends that are here for you.
I hope we get the opportunity to talk today or anytime you need to.

John I just posted this on Facebook after our conversation today. I also have a link to the funeral home information.

I just spoke with John and the funeral arrangements have been made for Joan at the South Canton Funeral Home.
Visitation:
Saturday 6-10pm
Sunday 1oam-10pm
The Funeral will be on Monday at 2pm at Hopewell Baptist Church in Canton, Georgia.
One of Joans wishes was that when she did pass away that there be a Classic Car cruise in her memory. So John has asked that if you would like to bring your Classic to the funeral on Monday in a show of love and support.
Joan was a breast cancer survivor and if you would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers, John asked that your donation be made to any Breast Cancer foundation.
John has been overwhelmed with the amount of love and support that he has received and has asked that the prayers keep coming as he works through this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear that John. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

It has been another long hard day today ,well officially yesterday now but the support I have received from all over the country has been amazing .
Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers for as long as you will as it helps more than simple words can convey .

You will, We lost a very dear sister in law just a few months back. My brother in law is slowing coming around. It will take time. You will be in our prayers.

Im doing OK ,staying busy helps .

Have not thought to update this thread in a while .I am learning to be happy again as best I can ,not easy but doable a little at a time .Im playing with trucks right now ,sold 2 and bought 2 ,yes they are Chevys .Im currently working with a shop getting the mechanicals in check on a 72 Chevy 4x4 longbed I bought in California and had shipped out here .It has stopped right now as the shop owner is recovering from wrecking his Harley a little over a week ago. I got Joan's Malivert out tonight for the first time since her funeral and drove it to town for a quick wash job as a student at work wants to do a photo shoot tomorrow of me and one of my cars . It had sat so long the battery was dead ,Joan would not be happy about that at all as she would want it driven .It just took me this long to be able to get behind the wheel again ,it actually felt good blowing the sut out on the interstate .Im staying very busy with work and cutting and splitting firewood and hanging out at the bodyshop when I dont want to be at home alone .

It's a tough road John. Glad to hear you're moving forward, really all you can do. Joan was no doubt smiling down, seeing her Malivert out on the road again. All the best.
