Yeah,I'm naming names here. Seems at Team Chevelle there is a do as I say not as I do double standard. Yes, it's going down hill fast. As a lot of you here know,I have put up with a lot of abuse there for a while. My main problem being friendly and liking to joke around.Sooooo many have told me this is a car related site and maybe facebook is the place for me. As always,I make light of the jabs and the mean statements,never striking back but laughing at it. I realize there is a lot of grease monkey mentality there.Guys don't take that statement the wrong way,you know what I mean. Even though I'm an owner manager of a business,I'm still a car salesman,not educated but I know how to treat people the right way. The latest car related threads have been about using proper grammar,talk about looking down on people,please give me a break. Then there was the argument about me not being a member of the hobby because I don't know what kind of freaking heads were on my car. For you that read that,I think I kept my cool pretty well. And now we have the best ever double standard thread of the year-How often does your wife give it up? Really? Now that is definately car related in my book.Hey they say this is internet,but for my friends I've made on both sites I am what I type,no bs the real deal.Iv'e made a lot of friends and talk to a lot on a regular basis and even met a few in person,but Team Chevelle is starting to get old,it's like I'm paranoid to post anymore.I honestly hope I never meet some of the people there. Sorry for the rant which is unusual for me, a one liner type of guy. Don't care who reads this or what happens,just been pent up for a while I guess. Opinions wanted for a repost on TC. The very best thing you can do Gary is let it roll off your back. If you let faceless people on the internet get to you, they win. Just let it roll, laugh at it, and walk away. You know you are better than letting a faceless person get the better of you.

Just hang out here and leave the crap that goes on over there over there. I like it here, its peaceful and everybody is friendly, I like it this way. I learned along time ago, dont let some random person on the internet get the best of me, then I'm just a fool. You're no fool Gary, don't let it get the best of you either.

You take this stuff too seriously Gary. TC is a huge site so you have every kind of person possible over there. Let's face it, a large percentage of the population are assholes so there is bound to be quite a few there.

I have real things and real people in my life to worry about, not going to worry about some jerk at the other end of a keyboard.

Just do like I do and don't go to TC; I don't think I've been there since this site opened. I don't need all the BS that goes over on that OTHER site and it's fun here. I do know what you mean however, I've had my share of fights over there and decided it just wasn't worth it.

It's an addiction,I can't stay away. Sort of like an abused spouse who keeps going back.:p

Gary, I hear ya on the TC BS. I get repromanded weekly for speaking my opinion and its getting so I don't really want to post any more. It's a car site. Guys are human and some have opinions that might not match the TC gods. It is helpful if you have a question, but thats about it.

Thanks.Waving My rant basically was about the politics there and some of the people who never really have a positive comment.If they want it all cars all the time get rid of BR and CE. I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes to discuss something other than cars all the time.

I asked if they would reinstate me since I see that anyone and everyone is advertising their sites over there and no one had the balls to respond to my request...and yes I was very humble in my request.
THE ONLY reason I asked was for my friend Mark (VortecPro).
Seems the good ole boys club likes to belittle and harass everyone that does not cater to them and go gaga over their posts.

It saddens me to think that the work Al did to make it great, autoforums is screwing up faster than obama is bankrupting this country.

Soon there will be only a hundred or so members left over there all lying to each other about how great they are.

I just don't have the time to read it all over there anymore but have not noticed a ton of people mentioning their web sites. I did not want to get banned so mentioning us over there never really crossed my mind. Got me wondering if maybe I should mention us to more over there.

I posted something in the member's section there this morning. There is a lot of complaining that TC is not what it use to be and I mentioned this site. My reply has already been deleted.

I am not surprised by that. They have this rule, that you can't "advertise" anything outside of the classifieds unless you're a sponsor. That means no links to businesses in your sig, no WTB or FS in your sig, etc.

There are probably 100 or more people that post there regularly that are not site sponsors that have links to their own businesses in their sigs, and some try to peddle their stuff in the forums.

I just don't like that certain rules don't apply to everyone over there.

I enjoy CE over there, but that's about it anymore... even that has gotten boring since Fishhead isn't there to post stupid stuff anymore. :D

Posting stupid stuff is my strong point.:p

The current rules you have to agree to in order join over there clearly state that business links are allowed in your signature.

Please don't get banned on our behalf. Chevelleforum.net is fine just as is. We rank pretty high in google and will grow in due time.

I mentioned this site, that's all. If they're going to ban me for that then I don't belong there in the first place. Besides it was in the members forum so exposure was limited. I'm still waiting for Jeff to tell me what rule I broke, only one I can see is 'Business Advertising' in forum posts. Since I don't own a business and it's always been legal to mention someone else's business I'm curious to see what his response is.

They're getting ridiculously anal over there. If you mention ebay or craigslist in a post it immediately get's moved to what's it worth forum. You may just be sharing a funny ad you saw with the other members, doesn't matter it get's moved. Yet there is a post in BR about 70 cowl induction that's been sitting there all day and it really should be in the tech forums. Those guys seem to get a bug up their ass about one thing and they're all over it but ignore all the other stuff that goes on.

I wouldn't want to be a mod over there, being a mod here is great, you don't have anything to do.

Grumpy, look at all the people on that site with their sites in their signatures, paid and non paid members.
I was not in any way trying to single out anyone.
Plus I do go to read in performance and engine section along with an occasional stop in bench racing and can say that more advertising of sites is going on than I ever did.

I was banned because someone posted about ALL the spammers registering there and then posting about viagra in every section before they got shut down,
All I said in reply was I take the time to have admin approval so they cannot do that on my site and within a half hour I was banned for life.

Now granted I had made some enemies over there but I had also cleared things up with many of them.

IMHO, the good ole boys got me banned, not my post about my website.

I still have many many friends there and will continue to be friends.

Sorry for the rant but I wanted to clarify.

Ok Gary, Your starting to make a believer out of me!! The asshat mods deleted a comment I made in a thread this morning referring to a post that got locked.

Once upon a time they had the balls to at least show that if a thread or post was deleted, they would say why, and by who!

Now it disappears with no trace of it ever being there.Before long the mods with no life's can start deleting each others posts, as that's all that is going to be there before long.

Thank you,Rocky. Don't get me wrong,I still like TC but I really don't know what they are trying to prove or what their ultimate goal is for the site. Like I said before,I like discussing things other than cars sometimes.
