What ya doing this weekend?
So what is everyone up to this weekend. My car is still in the "shop" so I will be working all weekend.
Anyone doing anything exciting? |
Since my wife works next weekend, we're celebrating Easter this weekend.
My brother-in-law just got a new 9mm a couple weeks ago, and I bought a 1911 today, so we're going to do some target shooting. :) |
My great aunt, will be 98 in June, has been dieing to go to Hamtramck for dinner. So we're going over to her house on Sunday then going to Hamtramck for dinner with her and my uncle. Of course they're both coming to our house on Easter.
Saturday I may pull the intake on the Chevelle. It's sucking oil around one of the gaskets. Ordered new UCA's but they won't be here for a week or so, already pulled the old ones and the bushings out of the housing. Can't drive it so might as well tear something else apart. |
" Can't drive it so might as well tear something else apart."
Love it !! |
Heading to NYC in the morning...
|
Wife and I are yard saleing tommorrow ,our second favorite activity next to anything car related . Church early Sunday morning, then drive the Elky to Chattanooga Tenn. for our Chevelle Club meeting (Peachstate Chevelles ). We want to drive our 72 vert up there but not much point of that as it is going to rain again.
|
The wife and daughter will be at a show all weekend and I'll be looking forward to working on my yard .I know, nothing exciting but I enjoy it.

Not to stir up that other post but that's what I like about working on the Chevelle. I don't think about all the other crap, just what I'm doing. So I may ache like hell when I'm done, getting too old for that stuff, but I actually feel better overall. |
Ok,Hank. So you're one of them that can work on your Chevelle,I get it.:ntwrthy:
|
Working 10 hrs then gonna drop the gas tank on wifes car :( bad fuel pump.I should just pay to have it done but I'm bull headed.I was trying to finish my disc brake swap but it's on the back burner now :(
|
Mowing the back yard on my wheelie pulling snapper riding mower. :D
Putting my new cam in, too. |

Hank,
I know what you mean. It was so much easier when I was younger working on the Chevelle. I feel good working on it, but the day after, my body reminds me I not getting any younger. I'll probably be working on the car Saturday. Took the hood off, removed the inner fender wells and strip the engine down and repaint everything in the engine comp. next fall the engine is coming out! |

Trying to finish up replacing the intake gaskets on my 98 4x4 chevy truck. I am also building new gates for the fence around our yard. I want to squeeze a couple nice bike rides in and also a run each day if I can get to it.
So much to do and so little time to do it. Jeff |
It is so neat reading everyones posts, so many described a "chore" they were going to do and then they put in something about working on their car. For those of you who were going to a cruise..I will say...I am jealous. I spend a little time each day dreaming....
So heres looking at tommorrow another 10-12 hour day and 40 minute drive each way...what a life.... |
Worked today, but if it's nice tomorrow, taking the Chevelle to the strip for a few passes!
|
I am jealous !!!!!!
|
I might take my SS for a few passes too! But that would be my street,my neighbors already know I'm wacked so it's no big deal.Waving
|
OK... OK..... I am really jealous.... We love pics if you take your ride out.
|
Rakin, blowin, fertilizing, cutting, splitting.....and some garage organizing, then a couple advils.;)
|
Rainy and crappy here but the kids and I are thinking of heading to the zoo.
|
The 69 loved its cruise yesterday, we went about 100 miles and it was great. We had a police escort, blew through red lights and opened the cars/bikes up on the 65 zone, all legally!
|
Rain in the forecast, story of my life right there.....
I did get out for a few hours last night...but it's just not the same! |
Gave my daughter away, a very tearful momemts seeing her for the first time in her dress.

We really do miss the Cartersville cruise though. We may have to try to go to every oyher one .What is happening with the Woodstock cruise ,Dewayne pmed me that it was off until further notice.
