Hello all,

My name is Sean, I live in Wales in the UK and have just put a deposit down on a 66 Chevelle, its a car I have always fancied, I sold a 68 Charger R/T to buy her!!!

She currently is in Missouri, awaiting shipping.


She runs a 454 60" over to 468 with a 871blower, 4 speed TS10 and 12 bolt rear.

I will post some pics as soon as work out how!!

Welcome aboard. Wow, I cannot even begin to imagine the stuff you have to do to ship a car overseas. Have you got any pictures you can post. Would love to see your new baby.

We have a friend who lives in Ireland that imported a 71 Chevelle SS a few years ago and he loves it. He is president of American Musclecars of Ireland and they have many nice cars there. He will be coming across the pond for a 2 week visit soon to be at Chevellabration .Check out their website sometime or even join their club, I am also a member.

I have put a deposit on her, sold the charger to pay the balance and the exchange rate took a serious dive , so trying to hang out as long as possible so the rate goes back up before sending the rest.

I won the Charger on ebay 7 years ago, all no.s matching texas car, shipped it over. I want something pro- street ish and she was to original to mess with so I let it go.

As far as Muscle cars go in the U.K. mopars especialy chargers are very common, probably 200 here or more, 4 within a 80 mile radius that I know off. 66 Chevelles are a lot rarer plus I should end up with cash left over

Its fairly straight forward, I also have the advantage of doing it once already,
takes about 6 weeks in all.

The taves that have to be paid hurt though.

Got to convert lights to right hand drive beams, amber turn signals, fit seat belts and the squirters got to work!!!! just to pass the anual safety test to be allowed on road.
