More rain on the way

Seem like summer is taking it's time getting here. While most of you are basking in warmer temperature we finally hit 71 today. Last year we were at 88 at this time. 3rd wetest May on recorded, our average temp was 65. When I mowed my lawn today before the next big storm on Wednesday I left mud tracks in the lawn. At least I'm getting things done on the car, it just all them Helicopterzs are getting ahead of me. I actually bagged 120 gallons of grass clippings today since the grass was so long from no chance to mow it for two weeks. Everyone have a great week, I know I plan to even with the rain.

Yep summer sure is taking it's time this year. This is only the forth time in recorded history that Reno never hit 80 degrees in the month of May. I'm starting to hate rain but it's better than the snow we had at the start of the month!!

Wow, we finally got some rain yesterday and we needed it. We had temps in the 80's, up to 90, for over a week. That's not right for MI in May, temps should be in the low 70's. Last week felt like late July early August.

Today is sunny again with temps going up to 80, I have to go cut the grass again. Just cut it Friday and Saturday, think I'm going to fire that True Green guy.

You should have made some "crop circles" in your lawn.

All most an inch of rain today set a new daily record. It was 66 though, break today and another big storm due on friday.

I wish it would stop raining. I hate cutting the grass :)

What really stinks is that this is the time of year for Graduation parties. Many people hold them at their homes, in their yards. So much for a manicured lawn, now you have a mud pit.

Ray/Mike,

I just hope it quits raining by next Sunday for the Classics El Camino & Chevelle Show! I haven't had my car out of the garage for 3 weeks now and really wanting to go to the show next weekend!!! Greg

Not a chance, the weather channel shows this big and long green cloud moving in from my place to yours LOL .... this is getting old!

They are saying it's just going to be windy here; here's for keeping my fingers crossed.

Nice weather on Sat, finally got to 74, Lot of rain today again. we have aready passed the average rain fall for the month of June just in the first 4 days. Sunny tomorrow and tuesday and rain the rest of the week. If we get to June 9 and no 80 degree day it will be the first time we have not had a 80 degree day since March.

We've had rain and storms every few days for the last week. Yesterday was hot and humid, had to get the lawn cut while I could. It rained in the evening and really came down during the night. Cloudy and cool today with occasional showers.

We have a small drain pipe under the road in front, it comes out at the property line between our house and the one next door. This morning when I went to get the paper I see a big pile of leaves the rain pushed out of the pipe. Then I see leaves scattered along the low spot for over 100'. We've been here almost 9 years, the only time I've seen water come through that pipe was during a winter thaw when the temps shot up to 60, so we must have had a down pour last night.

We have gotten so much rain we have slugs crawling around and our sprinklers have not been on in over two weeks.

I gotta quit taking the wife dancing .... its all her fault!

shadowgray396 06-06-2010 04:59 PM

I have measured an 1 1/2 inches so far today. Had to go over to the neighbors and run a temporay drain pipe from one of her down spouts to the road, It's been flooding her basement. The Willamete river here is at flood stage, in fact the Rose Festiable ships are here this week and with the river up they may not be able to get them out because they won't clear under the bridges.
