Rain Stinks !!!

Rain Stinks !! Had plans to go to Chevell-abration, but had to spend too much on motor, so those changed. Then we decided to stay closer to home (only 2 1/2 hour drive) and go to the Super Chevy Show.

Now here comes the friggin rain. I have everything on hold, even cancelled hotel reservations, and am watching the weather like a hawk. And it don't look good, 40% chance of rain/thunderstorms on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Nancy

It is ashame how the weather rules our lives sometimes.

Ms Grumpy 06-10-2010 06:42 PM

And not just our lives, but the lives of those who: watch our kids, stay at the house while we are gone, the brother who trailers the car.

Friggin rain !!

grandsport 06-10-2010 06:56 PM

Hey simmer down now,you are starting to sound like me and one of my rants.:p

Ms Grumpy 06-10-2010 07:00 PM

It is one of those things that I have waited so long for this moment, that I don't want to wait anymore.

I know the feeling. You wait all year to do something and the rain or other things change your plans. It doesn't look like my car will be done in time for the July show here. I have so look forward to have it there. It suppose to stop raining tomorrow morning here and summer is going to start this weekend. We will see. We will hope the rain stays away for you.

Oh yeah. the rain gets me too. See, my garage is in the back yard, detached from the house. In order to get my Chevelle in/out, I have to go through the lawn, and a few parts of my yard turn into a souphole EVERY time it rains...for days. I took my car out once too early, and underneath, it looked like I went mudriding. Even if it is a nice day, if my yard isn't dry, my car is stuck in the garage.

grumpy 06-10-2010 09:35 PM

I wished we could a went. Really wanted to get out and meet people, and see some cool cars...

Told the misses that we need to register for the Norther Ohio show and just go. Weather be damned !

Rain can make the best laid plans all wet.

Just a bit of wit mixed with wisdom.

If it were confucious it would have been something like, a man in a rainstorm without an umbrella ends up taking a bath without a tub.

Confusion would have been if rain makes you wet, why is there dry ice?

They claim the clouds will break up, sun will come out and get to around 82. Of course there's a light mist falling right now and no signs of these clouds going anywhere soon.

OK so this weekends plans went down the drain. Onto this coming week. It is the South Gratiot Cruise week. I want to go to every night this week, not sure Grumpy is up to it. But let's keep our fingers crossed...

NO RAIN !!!!

flash 06-13-2010 07:00 PM

Grumpy
You really should go to the Northern Ohio Chevelle Show ,I will be there again this year(my 4th year). They are great hosts and put on one hell of a show. If you go bring toys for Toys For Tots for extra door prize tickets. If I have to miss a show it wont be Northern Ohio.

Ms Grumpy 06-13-2010 08:00 PM

That is something that I would like to shoot for.

Hank70SS 06-15-2010 08:28 PM

Hey, no rain today, yet. Cloudy all day but managed to get the lawn cut before the next wave of rain comes through tonight. Looks like all the west coast rain has settled here.

Ms Grumpy 06-15-2010 08:57 PM

Glad we weren't in Oklahoma today.

grandsport 06-15-2010 09:12 PM

I gave up on having my perfect tan this year.

shadowgray396 06-15-2010 11:57 PM

More rain today again and for the rest of the week. Maybe I will stay home tomorrow and work on the Chevelle. So far on one day this year above 80 degress. I agree no tan this year, just rust.

Just heard we have set a record for the wettest June on record. 4.31 inches so far this month and it is snowing at pass levels around 4000 feet. We hit a whopping 57 degrees today.

Ray, if you're starting to rust you need to start using an umbrella.

Ms Grumpy 06-16-2010 09:19 AM

Or a raincoat...

Another good option. Or a maybe a nice coat of clearcoat and some carnuba wax.

flash 06-16-2010 09:57 PM

Its rained here the last 2 evenings ,thunderstorms late in the day ,but it was kind of nice for a bit of a cooling down after high 90 degrees with high humidity.

shadowgray396 06-16-2010 11:59 PM

Rain coat on all day today, they say it should start clearing by tomorrow night. Up to 4.91 inches this month so far. Yea and only 59 degrees again. Burrrrrrrrrrr

flash 06-17-2010 07:06 AM

I hope the rain in Oregon tapers off by mid next month for the Chevelle show. We plan to be there anyway.
