Hi Mike. How is Chris?

chevguy65 06-15-2010 07:21 PM

You east coasters got it made, by the time I get home from work and get on my pc you all have gone to bed or something.

My site is like a ghost town at night.

flash 06-15-2010 08:18 PM

What? Did somebody say something? J/K Mike. Hope you and Chris are doing well. At least you got the Chevelle out for a bit, always seems to make me feel better.

Hank70SS 06-15-2010 08:31 PM

Just looked at the 'other' site, it's dead too. No doubt everybody was watching Obama, DVR'ed it and are now watching it again. Yea, that must be it.

Ms Grumpy 06-15-2010 08:54 PM

Nope, we were all sitting by the TV waiting to see if Izzo was staying at MSU.

I haven't a clue as to the meaning of that, but may the force be with you.

Hank70SS 06-16-2010 06:45 AM

Tom Izzo, basketball coach at MSU. Cleveland Cav's offered him $6 million a year for 5 years. He only makes $3 million a year at MSU so you can see where the extra money might come in handy. He decided to stay at MSU.

I got all the joints in the exhaust system sealed up this morning, took Chris' car down to get a tire repaired, transplanted several plants and expanded my drip system to about double what I had set up before. Then went down to the kids house and celebrated the 17th birthday of one grandson and the 7th birthday of a granddaughter... ate cake and came back home. (ice cream also... :D)

I went up on the roof because Chris was concerned about the flashing around the chimney... it was fine - cleaned the skylight and found that the dual pane skylight had a broken seal and moisture was inside, sooo - called the roofing contractor to have him come out and replace it.

That pretty much covered the day.... I believe. OH YEAH... I mowed the front & back yards too!

Slacker.:D

Is everyone on vacation or what?

Rank 07-22-2010 03:51 PM

Vacation, nope ... I call it a "personal necessity" day!

Hank70SS 07-22-2010 04:59 PM

Actually I did take a vacation day today, Lynda wanted to go to the Ann Arbor. Drove down there, walked a few miles and sweat a bit. Lot of nice stuff but definitely not cheap.

We met up with Ric at the Holly car show/cruise last night. It was nice, good turnout. Grabbed a bar burger for dinner, pretty good burger and a pretty good deal. Burger with the works, fries and a pop or draft beer for $5.50.

grandsport 07-22-2010 06:36 PM

Holy crap,it sucks to be in the car business sometimes. I got to get me one of the 40 hour a week jobs.:p

RBeckman 07-22-2010 07:19 PM

I was at a plating supplier all day doing a quality audit I was suppose to last December. It was cool to see all the car parts people have in there to get plated.

Tomorrow have to go to Ford to explain why we keep packing RH calipers and control arms labeled as LH and vise versa. You would think it would be easy but we seem to have issues with it lately. Good news it's not only Ford we do it to. Noting better than being the quality manager at an automotive parts supplier..ha

Hank, great to see you guys last nite and not a bad Bar Burger...and of course a cold draft.

Just tell the guys at Ford that Obama's people require that you hire dyslexic people!

Ms Grumpy 07-23-2010 05:31 PM

Spent the day shopping with the kids for school cloths. Took one of the girls friends, who happens to be an only child, what a mistake. We started really early this year, and hopefully will be done shopping early. I hate shopping !!!

grandsport 08-13-2010 11:31 AM

I'm bored today,who are you?:(

flash 08-13-2010 01:56 PM

Oh, you'd like school clothes here Ms Grumpy. Public school wears uniforms, plain khaki bottoms, maroon polo shirts, and belts. Buy 6 sets and you're done...and no fashion show at school. We found a brand that will last all year, and buy them shorts for now, and pants in say november.

grandsport 10-07-2010 03:00 PM

Meh,where are my friends?

Yea I know, and most of the time I can't get on here until it's dark around here. To many things to do before winter gets here. Not looking forward to daylight savings time ending in a few weeks. Be dark much early and means the cold weather soon be here. Of course cold weather for us is in the 40's and not much snow like the east coast gets.

I hated that time of year when I worked in the office. Drive to work in the dark, drive home from work in the dark.
