Nothing to do today!

So I'm spending time on this & other Chevelle sites. Harrassing as many as I can. Wifes away watching our grandson. I home alone. All my friends are working. OR live to far. Too just jump in my truck and go visit them. The weather is for crap. Nothing on TV. Don't feel like working on the Chevelle. I might order some parts this afternoon. A few things I want done for Car Craft. So thats got to be done here shortly. So what are you up to Today ?

shadowgray396 06-26-2010 10:43 AM

Yard work this morning, going to get some parts for the Chevelle I need, haircut, and continue to put the Chevelle back together this afternoon. Other then that it's going to be a slow day. lol

Wish I had that problem.;)

Well I got my haircut yesterday and cleaned out the garage. It was a mess from working on the car the last few months.

Weather is clearing up, supposed to get crappy again later today. Guess I'll pull the ABS sensors on the truck and see if I can get them working right.

We were going to the Balloonfest later but not if the weather goes to shit again. Should have gone out there yesterday, they launched 47 balloons in the evening. They were supposed to launch again this morning then again this evening. They're also supposed to have the 'Glow' tonight. They tether 12-18 balloons to the ground then light them up at dusk. It's pretty cool looking because the balloons do glow when they turn on those burners.

RICKS70SS 06-26-2010 11:24 AM

Hank: where are they having the balloonfest at ? Novi ?

grandsport 06-26-2010 11:27 AM

Grandsport has a balloonfest! Free balloons for the kiddies. And for the old folks there is a buffoonfest.:p

I went and got groceries for the week and now I am going to harass my brother and maybe work on his 51 GMC truck.
Then tonight I am heading to a friends for a game of Texas Holdem. Hopefully I can talk them into tournament style.

That is it for me though and if my Brother is not up for working on his truck, then I plan on doing some Olympic napping.

It's in Howell. Supposed to have a race, last night, this morning and again this evening but looks like the weather will screw that up. It's part of a bigger balloon competition that moves around the state, Howell is just one stop.

I've seen them in New Mexico. There were about 40 or more then. I sent you an E mail.

Hank..What's a "haircut"? I just got back from the big car show at the Sloan Museum. Bought some small junk at the swap meet. Getting hot and muggy here now. Supposed to get some bad weather too. My daughter had a baby boy last Wed.

RICKS70SS 06-26-2010 12:41 PM

Congrats Grandpa. getting that way here also.

You know what a haircut is Tony, you may not get them but you know what they are. :D The muggy kicked in here too. I only checked out one ABS sensor so far, I'm pacing myself. Either that or I'm just getting old.

Tony, a grandfather, oh my! You going to teach him how to work on Harleys, maybe get him some tat's for his first birthday? :p Seriously, that's cool, congratulations.

Hank70SS 06-26-2010 04:22 PM

Well I checked out the other sensor, what a waste of time. Pull the wheel, pull the caliper, remove the rotor, go to remove the sensor and part of the plastic housing stays in the hub. Of course one of the wires on the mag coil broke. Put it all together and pull the ABS fuse. Now I have to get a new sensor and start over.

not me.... big party next weekend, cleaned up three grills, went to the local packy & ordered the keg, filed 6 months worth of papers & cleaned up the den, got a new regulator for one of the grills (that I broke while cleaning):D
stacked up some more firewood and still had some time to send out some directions and visit a few of my fav websites !!!

Hair cut what is that? My wife hits my head with a number 2 every 3 weeks and calls it a day.

Hank as far as the ABS, I maybe able to help you on that, I was the customer quality engineer for GM when your truck was build and I've seen it all and should be able to get the parts for you as we are the manufacturing for all ABS and Sensors for that vehicle. What code is set? and what makes you think its a sensor?

shadowgray396 06-26-2010 10:02 PM

Funny how our plans get changed. Spent all day working on the neighbors yard triming and cleaning up fir needles and leaves. In fact I filled my 5'x 8' utility trailer up today. Power washed her driveway and stairs to get all the moss off. Also power washed our patio off. Didn't get a chance to go get my car parts or work on the car. Set up the tent trailer tonight and had dinner in it. Ballon festival is here so their is a car show tomorrow hope to make that and look at some cars.
