wondering if a 68 chevelle will fit in my garage width-wise? anyone willing to measure the width of their 68 or so chevelle? :D

They are no wider than a full sized pickup but remember the door are thicker than newer vehicles.

I have a 70 as well. My garage is a typical 2 car, 2 doors, around 9' wide, with a foot or so of brick in between them. Also have a steel post in the middle of the garage, there are bedrooms above. My Chevelle fits no problem, not a lot of extra room for working on it but it fits fine. A 68 is has basically the same frame but the body may be few inches narrower. I'll measure the car itself.

EDIT: Ok, my car is just over 6' wide, roughly 74" and welcome to the site.

well i've got a 94 inch opening to squeeze through....including mirrors should be able to do that

Hank70SS 07-06-2010 04:26 PM

You should be ok, tight but ok. I slid a tape measure under the car so the measurement is close to the widest part of the doors.

grandsport 07-06-2010 04:28 PM

My daughter could easily get a 95" car through a 94" opening.
