Must be the father in me.

A WVU student and her boyfriend traveled almost 3 hours to buy a car sight unseen from me. They saw it on my website. They were so nice and very green when it came to buying a car,I'm glad they didn't run into some sleaze bag salesman. Before she took off to go back to school in her new used
first car,I gave her my home phone number. I told her to call me the minute she got back home. She looked at me,stunned for a moment and finally said, that's so sweet. Just got the call about 10 minutes ago,she loves the car and it ran flawless for her. I'll sleep good tonight.:)

Ray,I get a little nervous when people trust me so much. I even spent an hour getting her the best deal on insurance. It was a $5k car,and to her it was a lot of money. I feel that she got a good car and I did right by her on the deal.

Car sales men, contractors and lawyers ... welp maybe not lawyers, are some of the most misunderstood and underappeciated professions around.

Much happier story than my first car buy.....the old Z I bought didn't even make it 2 blocks away before the brakes went out. http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...ter1/laugh.gif

Gary ,you should have heard the conversation I had with a car salesman yesterday about a 78 Malibu Joan was interested in. He didnt much like it when I told him he was way over priced and to give me a call when he decided he wanted to sell it for real. His EBAY add started with a $5000 opening bid. I just about fell over when he told me his buy it now price, $6500 with o bids.I really like the car but I think its about $2500 too high.

Keep looking Gary, we aint in a hurry. We will consider anything sporty with 2 doors, A/C and looks and runs good .Bucket seats and floor shift would be a plus but not required .Also it can be no newer than 1985 so it does not have to be emission tested. I forgot it has to be an automatic. At this point all Im ruling out is a Pinto and a Vega. I may just have to find her a classic truck which would have to be a Chevy.
