9/11 a day to remember....

A beautiful poem that I found. This was written for all the police and firemen of 9/11. Shall we never forget !

Brave warriors in suits of armor yellow and black,
Answering a call for help without question they go on the attack.
Mounting their powerful steeds of gleaming gold and red,
Of their fears and worries nothing is said.
They race to the battle, an unforgiving demon to slay,
Until the task is complete not one will stray.
Working to exhaustion as their chest's pound,
Into the lair of the beast, insane as it may sound.
To snatch a person from death is the goal and greatest reward,
It's what all the preparation and self sacrifice is geared toward.
They love their country and all their neighbors the same,
It's a vocation that provides little financial profit or gain.
Their mission is simple the American dream to defend,
A life to save, a home to protect, to this they will tend.

I'll never forget where I was when I heard of this tragedy. That was a terrible, terrible day in the history of our Great Constitutional Republic...The United States of America

Let us always remember today and those who are serving to keep us safe.

I was home with my 5 month old and David called me and told me to turn on the TV. I don't remember when we turned the TV off, I just remember crying.

Amen .......I was at the gym when it happened and was wondering why everyone was standing in front of the T.V.'s. When I went over there to check it out.....all of us just stood there in silence and watched for a long time.

I too was also at work. Had to shut down the printing presses and was horrified for what seem like eternity in front of the TV.
