I've always had this little "ticking sound" in my engine and never seemed to get the power I thought it should have. Turns out I'm running on 7 cylinders! LOL

So off come the heads to do a valve job and correct some other issues.

The cheapo gaskets used during the "restoration" were a mess and really tough to get off.

No pics but just to update. The motor is put back together and is running great. I'm taking it easy for a couple hundred miles ( Maybe a little less;) )before I get on it.

If all you did was head work then you shouldn't need much of a break in. We would like some pics, looks like you had a nice paint job going on the engine.

Looking good. Get my motor back in a week. What paint did you use on it?
