Stolen car recovered, it only took 37 years
This story is unbelievable. The car was bought on e-bay and the new owner just didn't think things were right with it. So after contacting the police he found out that it had been stolen 37 years ago.

To bad the original owner is not interested on keeping the car. Great story.

Wasnt there a similar story about a vette recovered after 30 years ? I wish they could trace back and find the thiefs that stole them. Great story.

Car stories written by non-car people amuse me...
I'd bet everything I own that the 427 in place of a 6-cylinder is NOT the suspicious thing that raised a flag for him to look into it. Probably something like round VIN tag rivets that caused him to bring in the authorities. |
I know they said that he bought this on E-bay and that his money was "insured" through Paypal. My question is who is actually going to get in trouble for this. Is the seller on e-bay, or are they going to be able to go back through the years and find out who bought and sold the car ?
I bet the seller from e-bay is really mad right now. He is out the car and the money. |
I think car thieves or any thieves for that matter should be hung by their privates and then shot .
