Time with my father
 

Had time with my father today,got our Z28 Camaros out this afternoon for a ride.His is a 1967 and mine is a 1969 both numbers matching.My father had his handed down to him in 1991 from his father whom bought it brand new.I get it when he goes and says in his will.I bought mine a while back and we got a huge surpise when someone came out to appraise them,$80,000.00 to $100,000.00 for each one.Both are restored and I almost fainted after the appraisal was done.I know better about the 1967 to 1969 Z28 Camaros and someone told me they came with an automatic which is not true.Came with a 12 bolt rear end,no A/C and 4 speed manual.My father and I have one thing common with ours,call them our babies and don't like seeing scratches.

Z-28's could've come with an automatic, but obviously not every one was. Back then, four speeds were more common that automatics for the performance cars because autos used more power to drive the wheels than a manual trans.

That's quite a pair of cool cars you and your dad have. It's really cool that you guys can enjoy them together like that. How about some pictures of the cars? :D

They did in the later years, but 67-69 Z/28s were 4-speed only.

My 1969 does have the cowl induction hood which was an option.Story with my father's was my grandfather bought it brand new and traded in a 1961 Lincoln he did not like for it.My grandmother was not too happy at first when he brought it home.My father was told not to sell it and keep it in the family which it will be that way.I do have a picture of me in my father's 1967 when I was 6 years old,in the driver's seat and my grandfather took this picture.The key was not in it.Surprised a group of Camaro fanatics,they never seen a 1967 to 1969 Z28 yet in their life and did for the first time.I have a spare 1969 DZ302 on the stand just in case mine goes and I know the block is very hard to find.

Chantel ,good to hear you got those babies out and let them play .Ive missed your posts ,check in when you can. We need more ladies involved in this sport like you and my wife ,this is not a mans only sport as many believe .
