how hard is it to redo your seats?

OK so my seats are not in good shape at all. So since i am working on my car from the back to the front now my rear seat is just about up to be next to be repaired. So i was looking online and it seems pretty simple just need time and a lot of beer..lol. so my question is, is it worth doing it on my own or paying someone to do it for me?

The rear seat is definitely the easiest seat to redo as well. I would highly recommend giving it a shot as there really is not much to doing the back seat. Lay the covers out in the sun prior to getting started so they are warm and pliable and it'll make your life a little easier. If you have a small (kid sized) helper you can have them help by sitting on the seat frame to compress the springs when you are hog-ringing everything in place. The front seats are a little more involved but still nothing that can't be done on your own. I will say this, just like when you lay down new carpet in the car, be sure to put your screws in prior to placing the cover on or you may never locate the holes for you seat bumpers, etc.
