When we walked outside at 7:15am this morning, the sky was just amazing. So we got the camera out of the house and hoped that the pictures would show the brilliant colors in the sky. We were at the end of the driveway shooting over the neighbors house.

So what brought on the colors? ... maybe a fire somewhere?

Must be nice to see the sky. Been raining around here for most of the month here already. Great pictures.

That's the great thing about Michigan, no fires needed for a beautiful sky like that. And we don't have earthquakes either.

I feel your pain Shaun. Did that for over 20 years, only problem was that I was only scheduled 10 hours a day, but it always turned into a lot more.

The colors have been really cool in the morning. I wish that the camera would have been able to really get the blue and orange, they were just so brilliant.

Believe it or not, some of the prettiest skies I've seen where in the Iraq desert. (when there wasn't a plume of thick black smoke or a sandstorm blocking them.)

I do believe you Alan. Some of my friends that served in the Military told me about the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

And in case no one told you today, Thank you for your service to our country.
