My fathers chevelle

So I was wondering if anyone can help me with this, my father is the original owner of his 1966 chevelle, it is a SS, 396 with a four speed manual trans, the color is Lemmon wood yellow. It has less then 50,000 miles and has be garaged it's whole life, my question is he ordered the car with a bench front seat and I was wondering if this is a rare car due to the fact most normal people opted for the buckets, any info is better than what I have now.

Its probably most rare due to it being one owner and low miles but Im sure there were many less SS396 4 speed cars with bench seat.

Agreed. It's history makes it rare, not it's options. As you said, a bench seat was not the norm back then.

What an amazing story. To think that someone has owned the car for that long, and took such great care. Thank you for sharing. I would love to see a picture of the car.

So was the bench seat standard and the bucket an option, or was it the other way around?
Mine is a 4 speed bench seat also.
