Hi everyone!
Don't QUITE have it yet but my 71 is being rebuilt from the frame up while I'm overseas. It's a 350 column shift being converted to a SS454 rock crusher. It'll be my first classic and my first muscle car so I'm trying to learn everything I can and wow I've got a long way to go. I'd post some pics but can't access FB from a gov computer. Anyways just popping in to say hi!

Hi and welcome! What is your name?

Welcome from Georgia .

Welcome to the site 1st Chevelle. I take it you are in the military, and I thank you for that. I also want to wish you a safe and Merry Christmas, and a safe return home soon.

Yes I am military and thank you for the Christmas wishes. Name's Jeff and I'm beyond excited to get into the world of classic muscle. Sad to say it's my first American car I'll have owned and my first Chevy. I won't have enough funds initially to finish the clone while I'm here so I'll be doing the dash and the cowl hood later on my own. Is this a good dash for a close to factory replacement?

Jeff, thank you for your service and welcome to the site. There's a post on the dash in the interior section. You can make a couple of changes on it and most people will never know. Post is attached below.

That came out looking perfect! Where did you buy it?

It looks like I'll be going to some meets when I get home. Never been to before and I believe the Muddy River Run should be happening in my hometown right about the time I get back. Just in case though since the Army likes to send me to remote places I'll keep looking online. It looks like Year One has what I want.

Yearone, True Connections (is where I got mine), Groundup to name a few. Again thank you for your service.
