Looking for information on this car...
I don't have the VIN - that is my biggest stumbling block. My parents ordered a 72' SS 454 Chevelle in Late April of 1972. It was delivered to United Chevrolet in Worchester, Massachusetts in late July of 1972. It was traded in there sometime in 1974 by my parents for a 1974 Monte Carlo. (BARF!) That dealership seems to be out of business.
My father's health continues to fade, and he mentions that he would really love to track that car down more often lately. I suspect it will damn near be impossible.
The car was Mulsane Blue - stripe delete, LS5 454, TH400, White bench seat interior, PS, PDB, 3.31 posi, domed hood - not cowl induction, F41 suspension, AM/FM radio, HD cooling, HD battery, tinted glass, std SS dash - no tach, std SS steering wheel. I gathered these details based on their memories of the car.
They didn't take many pictures, this is all I have...

The 2nd picture with custom paint is a result of the factory paint flaking off in that area. My father had no luck with the dealer taking care of the issue, so a paint & body man by trade - he improvised. It was a "white marble stripe with cob-webbing" my father said. Also, the car had white bucket seats in it when traded in - sometime in 1974. He told me that he bought a set dirt cheap from a wrecked 70' SS Chevelle in the local bone yard. The picture to the right is pretty much how it would have looked when traded in.
Thanks in advance.
