I spent some rainy day time in the shop.
I tried to get a little more organized with the tire stuff. I'm going for a '50's garage feel.
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...68/Shop001.jpg I made a rack for all my tire repair stuff too. Not bad for some old broken cedar fence planks. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...68/Shop002.jpg |
So cool ! I really like the look of it.

Thanks! I think I'll be on the lookout for vintage tin signs. I'm also going to try some repro garage signs.
|
Looks good ,keep going.
|
Looks good, Swap meet for old signs.
|
What kind of vintage tin signs are you looking for ?
|
I'm not sure. It's one of those things that I'll know it when I see it. I decided to make "Flats fixed here" sign and make it look old. I still have some cedar planks left. :D

Looks like someone could get hurt with that tire machine.

Someone could get hurt with any machine. You just have to be careful and give it the respect it deserves. A hydraulic ram and a big steel plate won't care if you get your fingers or entire arm stuck in there. It's gonna do it's job whether or not your body parts are in there or not. Once you realize that, you're golden.
......I think it's a kinda cool old tire machine. ....and it still works good! :D |
