I put a big smile on my own face today.
 

I finished the long block on a customer's engine today. I primed everything up and everything looks great so far. ...good oil pressure with the drill. Anyway, a long time ago I started to paint all my engines the same color. Since this was the case, I mocked up some of my Chevelle parts on the customer's engine. ...I just couldn't resist. Wanna see what's going in the Chevelle?

Back then, I had more time than money. I detailed it to an absolutely STUPID level. From here, I painted the balancer and water pump white, but had red bolts holding them on. Then red pulleys with with white bolts holding them on. The frame was the same way. Red frame rails, white control arms, red spindles and drums, etc, etc, etc, etc.

I really can't wait to get serious on this thing. As soon as one of the other cars sells, this thing is going to get kicked in to high gear.

I think it looks really cool.

It does look good ,if only they stayed that clean.

Gary. It's been so long since I've seen that engine, I just had to smile. So many memories.

John. My first Chevelle stayed that clean all the time. Everything under the car was cleaned and polished just as much as the top side. I'm anal like that.

Here's a shot of my drag car. It was together about 5 or 6 years when this picture was taken......and it was dirty.
