has anyone dropped in a 4.3 in a pre 73 ?

a lot of people are probally asking "why would you want to do that ?"
my 70 needs a new motor, I have a good running 4.3 with a 700 r trans out of a s10.
I did a little online research and was suprised to find out a astro van with a 4.3 weighed around 150 pounds more than a bigblock 70 chevelle

I am looking to make this car a daily driver not a hotrod, with the price of gas going up i really dont want to start driving a compact, I was hoping someone has tried this swap already and could give me some input,

i am doing a 6.0 in mine i am on the back burner now but if you need any info let me know i have a friend has a few cars that he swapped in a 5.3
