Wife Had Alittle Accident
2 weeks ago this past Sunday as my wife was coming down stairs carrying a hamper of dirty clothes, she thought she was at the bottom step, but she was 1 step higher. So when she went to take that last step to the floor, she fell and twisted her ankle. She decided to go to the doctor after 2 weeks of pain, and found out she fractured her foot! He gave her one of those special shoes to wear, and told her to try and stay off her feet. The problem with that is, she works 10hrs a day and on her feet most of the time. The Doc told her she could take a month off as another option. We'll see how it goes.

Sorry to hear that Brian, hope she heals up soon. Lynda did something similar a few years ago. Twisted her ankle, fell then walked on it two weeks before she found it was broken. Had to wear the special shoe for awhile.

Wow that really does suck. It seems petty common about people thinking they are on the last step and then they fall. I hope she gets better soon.

I know a couple people that had ankle surgery, and they gave them a little scooter to use. You put you bad leg on the the scooter, and just push yourself around. It keeps weight off of your foot, but it keeps you standing upright. Maybe she could look into something like that?
Good luck. I hope she feels better soon. Of course you know YOU'LL have to the laundry lifting from now on! :) |
Sorry to hear that Brian, hope she heals up soon. My wife has broken her foot twice since we have been married and both time from missing a step in the house also.

Last week she went for a 3 mile walk downtown with a friend.
I would prefer that she take some time off and let it heal properly. I certainly don't want this to haunt her later in life. Thanks everybody! |
