Can I use these Rocker Studs on my heads?

A buddy of mine told me that I cannot use these studs on my heads without getting the stud bosses machined flat. My heads are already taped for screw in studs and I have test fitted these. They screw in. But he said I have to have the heads machined. Is that true?
He said that I have to get the studs that do not have the hex.

bb or sbc? and whats the model number on the studs? dont quote me yet until i know the heads but he is right if its a sbc because they have press in studs and you have to take them to a machine shop. and if i am correct most of the BB heads have screw in studs so you can use those i know i used them on mine.

i guess i never took a picture of them after the machine shop cleaned them for me but that was a test fit with two when i got them and put on two rockers on each one
