interior resto

Im looking to redo my entire inside on my 71 chevelle. Want to convert from my bench seat to buckets and even do a SS dash conversion. If anyone could give me an estimate of what this might cost that would be great. im guessing probably around 5K.

I guess it would depend on if you are going to look for original parts, or going for NOS. I think you can spend even more than 5k. The dash along could cost you a couple of grand, depending on the shape if you want an original. There are so many companies out there that make interior parts. But if you buy one from one company, it may not fit well with something else from another.

Believe me I am not trying to talk you out of doing the interior, but I know that mine was not cheap, and I reused lots of parts, I was fortunate that my back seat was in awesome condition, and the buckets needed to be totally redone, found a dash local, but I still spent a lot.

Good Luck !

It depends what route you are going to go. If you look for a used dash and bezel you can probably save a few dollars.

I know a full SS conversion kit dash goes for about $1800 which includes everything you would need.

Use buckets are out there that just need recovering and they can be $250 to $800 depending on the condition. New frames sell for about $330 each and you have to buy the seat tracks which go under them for another $85 each, plus you still need headrests, foam and seat covers. I would look for a used set that are complete.

Interior depends on if you are going with legendary interior, PUI or Destinctive Enterprises interiors. There is a big differenace in price.

5k sounds about right to me.
