review for body panels
I am considering a 66 Chevelle, and am wondering aboout body panels from "Ground Up"
Anyone have a review on their fenders or full quarters or full floor pans? Fit? quality? |
Any after market panel is going to need some work. I was reading a post on another site and almost everyone has been happy with Ground Up's panels. Some even said they fit better then most NOS stuff. The metal is a little thinner. No one makes a perfect replacement panel.

Yeah, I am aware that there is no such thing as a perfect fit. and thats OK.I just dont want something I am going to hack all to pieces or get into a car that needs so much work that there is no good repop sheet metal available.
So, I am just beginning my search. If they are good and have all the pieces I need, I am golden. |
Just be prepared to do a lot of adjustments, and I mean a lot. It is amazing how well the panels will fit, but getting them to line up is another story.

I cant say how the parts I bought fit as they are at the bodyshop with whats left of my truck. They started a frame off resto 12 months ago and the project has stalled so nothing installed as of yet.
