Hello everyone!

I just wanted to introduce myself... My username is burg54, I am 39 years old(1972), serve in the USAF and am happily married with children. I finally found the vehicle I have been looking for about a month ago. I looked at trucks and other cars but fell in love with a black w/blue racing stripes '72 chevelle(SS clone). It has a 383 stroker, world s/r heads, edelbrock performer intake, crane cam(don't know the specs), a holley 670 street avenger that I am currently not agreeing with, M-21 4-speed and 4.11 gears. I drove it for a couple weeks, then I noticed a noise from the roller rockers on the passenger side... by the time I was within a mile from my house...POP... bent a pushrod! I just finished putting her back together with all new pushrods/lifters. It took me a minute to figure out the pre-load on the lifters, but once I got it, she fired right up! Happy again! I am hoping to learn as much about this car/engine/transmission as possible along with any other little tid-bits you guys throw out there! I had to let go of my Harley to get this, but I am very excited! I will add pics as soon as possible.

Welcome to the site, hope you enjoy that Chevelle. Sorry to hear you had to give up the Harley though, hope that's just a temporary thing, I know I gave up some seat time when I got my Chevelle. How about some pics of both the car and bike?

PS - I too would like to thank you for your service.

Gary
