My wife made out like a BANDIT on Mother's day!
 

So, a few weeks ago I saw an ad on Craigslist for a '67 Impala 4 door hard top. Tiff's been wanting one since I sold her old one. The old one was sitting for a LONG time. While it didn't have any rot though on it, the metal was paper thin and every time I touched it, I would poke a hole in it. SO, I spotted this one and bought it for her and said it was a REALLY early Mother's day present. (she wants to clone the TV series "Supernatural" car with it.)

This car is a lot straighter and more solid than the old one. Fast forward to two days after Mother's day and she's complaining that she didn't get anything for Mother's Day. What?! What about the 2 ton steel present in the back yard?!

She said that doesn't count because it doesn't run. ....Ok, fine. I had my 1990 Corvette for sale and that day I got an offer for a trade. I brought this home two days after Mother's day. ...YES, It runs!

Yeah, she's good on toys for a while. After I do the few little things on the 'Vette to get it back on the road, I can start getting my Chevelle together. I'm supposed to be dropping off the engine at the machine shop this week for it. (the Chevelle I mean)

You are an awesome husband. I think that your wife was excited about the car, and she just wanted a little present on Mother's Day. Maybe you should have given her new car parts for the car. lol

That may have worked, but now I have leverage to buy that other truck I wanted! :D
