Another piece to the puzzle just got dropped off
My "new" 327 is sitting in my garage. It was a circle track engine. From what he described, I think the crank is bent. (not much, maybe .004" or .005") It ran great until it started squealing and then started losing power. Instead of blowing it up, he shut it off and pulled it. It makes no difference to me, I plan on putting a 283 crank in it and building a 302 for the Chevelle. I'll know for sure when I tear it down. I have some double hump heads for it too. Since I plan on boring it .030" over, I can't wait to tell someone I just have a 305 in my car! :D
