Hello. Out of high school I bought a 71 Chevelle and began the process of fixing it up. I kept it all stock, 350 SB, 350 Trans, and some grandma rear. Redid the interior and exterior paint. Have lots of fun with it until it was time to get married at which time I sold it. It's been almost 20 years now and I have been itching to get back into the hobby. I've been keeping my eyes open for the last few years and fell upon a beautiful 71 SS Chevelle. Although it's not a real SS, I am fine with that since my budget couldn't afford the real deal. The cars been in many shows from what the owner's told me and pics to prove it. Drive train is actually a bit more radical than I wanted. It's got a 400 bored to a 406, Demon carb (I think I'll down size it), and big cam. The sound it makes its music to my ears.
I find myself a bit overwhelled however getting back into the game. Although I did most the work on my Chevelle back in the day, I've got much to re-learn. Hopefully using this site as a resource will be a huge help. My first goal is to get the vacuum and brakes issue in order so I can feel more comfortable driving it.
