Flamethrower to melt driveway?

Just wonder how many people here use a flamethrower instead of a snowblower around the house.Seems like a great idea, but Lowes nor Home Depot carry them.Any ideas as where to purchase one?

So are you looking for the back pack version or one used with a tank? Lol

Ask my Irish buddies about their attempt to melt thick ice on the street using gasoline...:D

Our corporation has dealerships in Atlanta,Houston and Vegas. All it would take is a phone call.I think I would miss Maureen after a while,so I am "stuck"

They use jet engines on a trailer to dry the race track at MIS after a rain. Might be overkill for your driveway though. You can buy a flame thrower/torch that attaches to a portable propane tank. Used when laying asphalt and not sure what else. Try Harbor Freight or Northern Tool.

I have one like this for drying out the pavement when I need to paint.

I know people, who by the way are nuts, who use that propane flamethrowers to get rid of ice damns on their house. Crazy I know. But they haven't caught their house on fire, yet.

I think it would be ok for the driveway. Just keep in mind if you get concrete too hot it explodes. (not like it sounds, it just pops and pieces fly out)
