Ride height

I'm setting the suspension on my new toy, a 64 Chevell Malaibu Hdt. I'm trying to figure out what the new ride height should be. I think that the front end is all orginal and that the springs have settled in 50 years.
SO the question is what was the stock ride height on a new 64?? This will let me order the right drop springs and get the right stance the first time.

Wish I could help on your question, but not sure on the height. Drop springs will be is like playing poker, it's a guessing game. I had to take my springs out a couple of times to get the correct look I wanted. Also welcome to the site.

Getting the right look is always tough. I would suggest using a spring compressor, compressing until you get the desired look, then measure the spring height, then look for a spring this height or cut the coils to acheive the height you want.

I think that the right height is the height that gives you the stance of the car that you want. I will ask around and see if anyone knows what it was from the factory, cause I think that is what you are looking for...am I correct ?

It's in the factory assembly manual, if you have one for your year.
