Something not right here
Notice anything funny with the red Chevelle hood that I saw at the swap meet yesterday. I also notice the green Chevelle the stripes are not painted correctly. Went to the swap meet here in Portland to see if there was anything I could not live with out. Came home almost empty handed. The little yellow car would be a great car for my grandson down the road. It's on a go cart frame.

Ok, I give. Whats wrong with the red hood? Looks ok to me.
Don't like the custom stripes on the green Chevelle. I remember using those oil dispensers and old oil receptacles. Too plain lookin for me. Awesome 32 Roadster replica. |
Here's a different picture. Hint it's not the stipes.

Looks like an after market fiberglass hood. Clip lanyards look too short.
|
It's not fiberglass. The center of the hood is bent down over the grille. It should be more flat.
|
I think its just the angle of the camera that did that. Green car camera angle was lower. Maybe its my old eyes.
|
I just saw a pic on FB of a '70 ElCamino with the same exact hood. Maybe that's a ElCamino hood on a Chevelle. They both have the "Widows Peak" shape.
Ray, check your email. EDIT: Nevermind the email Ray. I found what I needed. |
To me the red one's hood makes the headlights look funny. The green one's custom stripes just look funny. Just my 2 cents.
|
The headlights have eyelids on them.....that's old school.
|
The hood almost touches the grille in the center. I wished I had taken a better picture. When you are standing in front of it you can really see how much the center is bent down.
