Engine pictures
Looking for some pictures of a stock 1972 350. 4 barrel engine.
I want to put the 72 Chevelle wagon I just purchased back to stock. It is currently running a incorrect intake Holly carburetor. Thanks |
If the wagon is originally a 350 4bbl car, it will have a 12 bolt rear too.
Is the 5th character in the wagon's VIN the letter "J"? |
It was originally a 2 bbl car - H fifth letter. I just purchased the Wagon and I am in the learning process. It currently has an aftermarket intake and a Holley with a blown power valve. I have a Q Jet which has been rebuilt and a factory 4 bbl manifold (GM # 392713) from a 1969 350 which came with the car. My thoughts were to go with the correct 1972 4 bbl manifold ( I believe 3797771 is correct) and stock Q Jet.

6263751 is the correct intake, 7042202 is the correct carburetor. I chased down those two parts for my 72' Monte Carlo last year.

Thanks carpoor - any possibility of a picture on your engine minus air cleaner...
|
I'll have to look, I sold the Monte Carlo about a year ago. I'll tell you this, I did away with the TCS.

This is about the best I've got, looks like an old cell phone picture...

Thanks
I am trying to assemble a list of parts I need. I do not have the bracket that the throttle cable attaches to. Next purchase needs to be a set of G. M. manuals. |
Is that oil cap correct?
|
Thanks
