Any Bob Seger Fans

We just got home from the Bob Seger and The Siver Bullet Band with J Giles opening for them .What a great show ,especially Seger at almost 70 years old . They put on a great show to a sold out crowd .

Always liked his music. Hard to believe he is 70.

One my favorites, he lives not far from us here in Michigan, I remember seeing him when I was 16 when he sung in bars around here.

Him and Kid Rock do a lot of cool things around here in Mid Michigan.

One of my favorites too. Watched him play when I was around 16 years old, at the old Sherwood Forest in Davison. A local radio station had "Wild Wednesdays", where you could get in for 6 bucks, all the people you could fit in a car.

The new music video out features a lot of "Detroit iron."

The good old days Tony, seen A lot of good bands there including Ted Nugent, Montrose, Mich Ryder....I lived in the house right next the entrance (Masters Orchards) in the late 70s off Richfield Rd just as as they were winding down the Wild Wednesday concerts.

I saw him at The Mikatam and Russell Ballroom both not far from you.

Damn Ric, I didn't know you are from Davison. The Russelleville Ballroom was torn down a few years back. That place had some of the greats from the 40's through the 60's bands play there. I can still hear, see, and smell the place. Oh yeah, the Mikatam! 20 for the price of one!!! Spent many a night in there chasin women. Most were easy to catch too!!!

I'm actually from Clio but after high school moved to Davidson, lived off Richfied rd with a roommate that also worked at Buick, then Windsor place apartments then bought my first house on Flint Street in 1981. I also worked at the Mikatam as a doorman when I was laid off from Buick in the early 80s when you could get 20 for 1 on mixed drinks. Orders were from the owner (Tom Jobran) if they walked through the door they were old enough. As for women...you are correct, and I have fond memories.

It was 1972 when we got into the Mikatam to see Bob Segar before he made it big.
