Bite The Bullet

My 2" rear lowering springs from CPP came in, so I ordered Beltech Street Performance shocks that are compatible with them (by suggestion of CPP tech). This all happened last week.

Today I ordered front disk brake conversion from The Right Stuff Detailing along with a new steel brake line kit. Should be here Tues or Wed, then the car goes to see Joe Giniel to have everything installed.

Wife asked about bushings for lower & upper control arms for the rear. Told her I'd have Joe look at them first.

We shouldn't have to do anything more to the car for a while now.

Will post some pics after the cars done.

Took the car over to Joe this morning. While there I asked if he could adjust rear brakes, and put a different hose on the new booster, getting tired of seeing a red hose. Also talked about bushings..........Judy said "aww what the hell, Joe put new bushings in please". That was a shocker..........but a nice shocker. So when we get it back it should be 100% and nothing more to do.............I'm kinda thinkin about some custom panels for inside the trunk..........I can make these myself.

Talked to Joe yesterday and he said good thing we decided to replace the bushings. Said they were so shot they were fallin out of the arms. Get the car back on Tuesday.

So now it will have: disc brakes on the front, new spindles, new booster and master cylinder, new brake lines, new rearend bushings, new 2" lowering rear springs, new rear shocks. Already has new 1 1/2" lowering springs on the front, new bushings and shocks.

Boy am I behind. I still haven't taken my car out of storage. David and my son Jacob decided to start collecting BMX bikes while the garage was "empty" over the winter. And now I have to get all their BMX crap out of the garage and into storage so that I can bring my car home.

Ken, your car is looking awesome. I didn't think that you really had anything to do to it, but it looks great. I knew from the first time that I met Judy that she was a car gal. I guess she wants to make sure that any time that she spends in your car is a great time. I am going to get ahold of Joe as soon as I take mine out of storage.

Looks better lowered down. Is that a header pipe hanging down underneath?

Ken Hayes 04-13-2015 08:06 PM

That's my Dougs Electric Cutouts with a turn down. Might have to take the turn downs off.
