Radio Question
In my 70 I have a Custom Auto Sound USA-1 radio. I'm lookin for something different that I don't have to alter the dash and wont put me in the poor-house. Anybody got any suggestions??

There are very few option out there when it comes to the old shaft style radios. Retro sound and custom auto sound are the only two that make a shaft radio that's worth anything. Would you be against mounting one under the dash or in the glovebox? If not then your options will become almost endless.

Justin, directly under my radio is where my gauge panel is located, so mounting under the dash would make it kinda outa reach for me. I use the glove box, so that's out too. Thanks for your reply. I'll keep lookin.

Can you hide one under your seat and use a remote ,I did that with my 72 truck ,sort of .

I know they make a modern radio out there to look like the original for Chevelles, but with all the new add on features. I almost got one for the Chevelle a few years back.
Here's some options http://www.classiccarstereos.com/cat...lle%20%2Bradio |
Ken Hayes makes one. Mine is over 10 years old so hopefully the new ones have more features.
