Question about siding
 

I know this is off the subject of cars, but I hoping someone might know

Was over yesterday at my sons house replacing siding I thought was Hardie Plank siding. It turns out to be thinner then Hardie, but seems to be a product simular to Hardie. House was built 5 years ago. The siding is falling off the house. It reminds me of the old brittle siding houses use to have on them years ago in the 50's and 60's.

Does somone else make a product like Hardie? Been searching the web with no luck. Thought I would ask.

I had to google it just to find out what Hardie Plank siding is. Cerber makes a cement board siding, popped up in my google search.

Found the name of the siding on the house. My son is filling out paper work from a class action law suite to see if he can get enough money to replace all the siding on his house. More of it has cracked and is falling off.
