Ebay and watcher's

Well I'm giving Ebay another shot selling stuff that I hope will sell. Anyhow, I never understood why people watch an item but don't bid; do you? The other thing that use to bother me was why ask a question wasting someone's time getting a reply and then don't bid! Most of the time you never hear from them again. it just seems silly to me, but forgive me I'm just venting.....

Just like selling anything else, anywhere you go. Just part of sales. I wonder how many people touch and or try on a piece of clothing before it actually sells. ETC...ETC...

I watch some things, mainly just to see what they went for... I only go on ebay about once a week, so I know I'll forget about it if I don't put it in my watch list.

Sometimes it's something I have and want to know what it's worth, other times I'm considering buying, but not really sure if I want to yet, and want to get a feel for the market. :)

Exactly my reasons for watching too!

I watch things to get an idea of price. Sometimes I may be interested in it but if the price goes too high I won't bid. As for asking a question, sometimes you don't get the answer you want so you don't bid.

All true but it get irritating when you answer 10 emails a day regarding the price for shipping to Canada, England, Italy, and other foreign countries just to get no bids. I understand the watchers but I have one item with 11 of them and no bids and I'm starting all my auctions at $1. I guess I’m use to watching an item by placing a bid on it instead.

I sometimes watch an item just to see what it does...no law against watching.
And yeah sometimes I will have 1-200 watchers but only 2-3 bidders, the thing is they are looking...maybe one of those watchers ends up being a buyer...never bite the hand that feeds you.

I watch and wait. If I'm lokking at buying an item I will watch. I know what my max bid would be so why jump in until you know where it is going?
I'm not dumb enough to put in my max bid and have the seller run his own sale up until he finds what mine is!

Hey Carl! You ever coming backto the other side?
I just had a week vacation for insulting the NW Region guys!

chevguy65 02-03-2010 06:48 PM

They won't let me back.
I got a lifetime ban for spamming my website.
Which is a crock of shit but hey it's in the past.

I do miss CE and the heated discussions.
And you know, I only have hard feelings with one person over there. I held no annimosity for anyone but him.
