Lost my garage for the week...at least!
We moved into our new house last April. Had it built to exactly what my wife wanted. Had an issue with water getting back into the foundation (block) and then into the basement. The builder and excavator made some changes that we thought should take care of the problem. 3 weeks ago we had a hard rainstorm and the same thing happened in the same area. The guy who laid the foundation came in and said he wanted to really see the area so he could make sure it was fixed right this time.
The problem is that the water was coming in under the garage. So I had to empty the garage and they cut out the front 3rd to dig down to the weeping tile and where the house and garage foundations connect to fix the issue. He brought over an enclosed trailer to put the '72 in but I haven't been able to work on it all week. Plus my garage is all torn up, and yard, and driveway. And it rained today and they took out part of the sidewalk to run a new drain tile for the eave trough.
I guess that's enough whining. I did get some new parts in and took the convertible frame off so I can work on it. Plan to clean off all the rust and paint it along with going through all the bushings and bolts to make sure it moves freely. So progress isn't at a standstill.
