Hey Hank....

Does your brake system on the Chevelle have the "metering valve/hold-off valve" at the master cylinder? The round one that has 2 lines to it, one in and one out. It is mounted directly to the MC.

My 69 does.

Ric, what I need to know is how far the spool travels when the brakes are applied. Can you get Les to push down on the brake pedal at the same time that you put your finger between the metering valve and the MC, where the rubber boot covers the stem end of the spool? You will feel the spool move. Mine on the Nova is only moving about 1/8th of an inch. I don't know if that is far enough. I'm trouble-shooting a problem on it.

Mine is mounted to the vacuum booster. The rod is almost against the booster and covered with a rubber boot. Sent you a text with a picture of it.

That is where mine is too. I don't know wtf I was thinking when I typed that is was MC.

Anyway, I still need to know how much travel is in the spool.

Sorry I just seen this and I'm out of town at a customer and will be home tomorrow afternoon and can check then if no one else has.

I had to go and earn some more money to pay for your retirement (your welcome).

Thanks Ric. Any chance that you can stay a couple more days and git me and ol Hank a little overtime pay? I gotta pay for the new carb that I put on the Nova and pay for this new Ruger .45 I picked up.

Hank already checked the travel on his for me, but thanks anyway.
