Painless Wiring kits

We've got a painless 12 cicuit kit for the 67. This thing looks like it's going to be a nightmare. Anyone have any tips for me bafore I attempt the install?

Read and re-read the instructions.... use a solder gun where needed, use shrink tubing where you need it and if (when) you run into issues, ask questions and I'll try to help.

Thank you so much. It's gonna be a month or so but I'll be asking you some questions for sure.

I installed one in my "67 Camino; if you need any help let me know. Here are some good things to know that will come in handy and just remember to take your time and do only one Circuit at a time. If you need some pictures let me know.

Four terminal dash ignition switch connections with a universal harness.
Connect the pink and orange wires together at the "IGNITION" terminal on the switch.

Connect the two red wires together at the "BAT" terminal.
Connect the purple wire to the "START" terminal.
Connect the brown wire to the "ACCESSORY" terminal.

And if you have a problem here is there website and I think they have an updated manual for most kits. http://www.painlesswiring.com/faq.php

Return the Painless and go with AAW. They have a Classic Update kit for your 67 which will do your entire car.

Good Luck...I am about to do my 72 and have been researching harness kits for months and for the price and quality, the AAW is tops.

We also might want to move this to the Electrical Forums
